How to do it:
Cut a 21 x 15.5 cm piece of white card.
Brush the piece of card with water.
Choose a light colour watercolour paint, f.ex. yellow, and paint onto the white piece of card.
Choose three colours which can be mixed with yellow, f.ex. orange, green and red.
Suck up a bit of watercolour paint using a pipette and drip it onto the wet piece of card. Repeat with all three colours.
Sprinkle silk salt onto the wet watercolour paint and leave to dry completely – preferably until the following day.
Brush off the silk salt. The beautiful dots and patterns created by the silk salt in the watercolour will be revealed.
Make a simple drawing with a black marker pen or make a hand print with black acrylic paint – dab on the paint using a foam stencil brush.
Insert the finished picture inside the transparent part of the mug, insert the insulated lining inside and assemble the mug by screwing the parts together.
PLEASE NOTE: Disassemble the mug when washing. Wash the black insulated mug + the lid. Remove the picture when washing the outside transparent mug. Alternatively, you may use a photo, make a beautiful collage or make a drawing for inserting into the transparent part of the insulated mug. Remember to add name and age to the picture – it's always lovely to add this onto the children's pieces of art.
